WHAT IS
BUSINESS CAR LEASING?
Whether you’re a sole trader, or part of a partnership or limited company, business car leasing can allow you to use a car for a set period of time at a fixed monthly cost. In contrast to buying a car outright, business car leasing could provide a more easily affordable way of getting a new car for your business.
The most popular type of business lease is business contract hire. This is very similar to personal contract hire, except you’ll have the added advantage of being able to claim some of the VAT*, that could save you money.
At Suzuki, contract hire provides a number of options - with flexibility around duration, initial rental and annual mileage, you can choose the contract terms which are right for your needs. We also offer a service and maintenance option, which means you can spread the costs of maintenance** including routine services, tyres, replacement parts and repairs due to wear and tear.
* Subject to VAT status and usage of the vehicle. Consult your tax advisor if unsure how this applies to your business.
**Repairs or replacements from accidental/malicious damage and damage caused by driver misuse/abuse are excluded. The Vehicle must be serviced in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines and by an approved service dealer.
WHAT ARE THE
BENEFITS OF LEASING?
The main benefit of business leasing compared to personal leasing, is that as a business you may be able to reclaim some of the VAT which could mean you ultimately get a better deal.
With Suzuki Business Contract Hire* you’ll also get to spread the cost of your vehicle across the chosen length of your agreement, and monthly rentals will be fixed. This makes budget planning easy, and the flexibility of our contract terms mean you can tailor it to suit your specific requirements.
You also have the option to include optional maintenance with your monthly rentals. This could reduce the amount of time your fleet is off the road, and also allow you to spread out the cost of keeping your vehicles running.

HOW MUCH COMPANY TAX
WILL I NEED TO PAY?
The amount of Benefit in Kind tax you’ll need to pay to drive your company car is calculated using your income tax band, the P11D value (list price) of the car and the amount of CO₂ emitted from the exhaust.
WHO’S RESPONSIBLE FOR
INSURING A LEASED CAR?
Even if you’re leasing a business car with us, you’ll still be responsible for insuring your Suzuki so that you’re covered in the event of something going wrong.
With Suzuki insurance*, we’ll guarantee to fit only genuine Suzuki parts and panels, and will always direct your repair to a Suzuki approved bodyshop. And we’re so confident in the quality of work carried out on your car, that we’ll provide a five year guarantee on any repairs.

BUSINESS CAR LEASING WHILE
SELF EMPLOYED
Any business can lease a vehicle as long as you can provide three month’s business bank statements, have a full UK driving licence, are able to afford the monthly rentals, have a good to excellent credit score and are aged 18 or over.
